Standard Balustrade: If a deck is over 600mm from the ground there is a requirement to make the handrail 1.1 metres high and to have no gaps of more than 100mm anywhere on the balustrade. Our standard timber balustrade meets those requirements. If the deck is below 600mm from the ground then these regulations do not apply.

Glass Option: Toughened glass panels are ideal for maintaining the view and make a perfect windbreak. Also they meet with building regulations where required. We can fit toughend glass into timber, stainless steel or powder coated balustrading. See our on-line gallery.

Other infills: Options for infills are numerous. We have used yacht wire, trellis, rope and even clear perspex tubes for a more contemporary balustrade.
